ABBAS AMIR AUWALU
Mr. Abbas Amir Auwalu is a graduate of New-York institute of Technology with a B.Sc in Business Administration (BSBA), as well as an Economics degree (BA) from the City College of New York. Mr Abbas has worked with both National and International organizations and was the Manager -Import/Export at Dantata Foods & Allied Products Limited. He is Proactive, Dedicated, self-confident and adopts a creative approach towards his work.
As the Manager – Import/Export - Dantata Foods & Allied Products, Amir has worked in teams to develop/introduce several products (Country Pride Bread, DanSoya, TIFYA), helped negotiate and facilitate international trade deals (Imports/Exports), and sourced raw materials for the production units – sesame from Chad, groundnuts from Cameroon, cottonseed from Benin Republic, and livestock from Niger Republic. He has experience with local sourcing of these and other products for the company’s trading division (ginger, hibiscus, cashew, etc.), while directly/indirectly supervising over 50 staff, and extra responsibilities such as procurement, talent management.
Mr. Amir has also been involved with Manordale Limited, a company that specializes in mining and supplying gold, limestone, feldspar and quartz. The experiences he brings to The Future Minerals Limited include setting up supply channels for local supplies as well as exports, in addition to bringing a noted expertise in sourcing materials and procurement.
